West Lake (Hangzhou)
Located in the heart of Hangzhou, West Lake is considered the most beautiful sight in the city.
West Lake is sheltered on three sides by hills, with numerous temples, pagodas, gardens, and historical sites within the lake area. In 2011, West Lake was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site, described as "an outstanding example of a cultural landscape that displays with great clarity the ideals of Chinese landscape aesthetics, as expounded by writers and scholars in the Tang and Song Dynasties" and reflecting "an idealized fusion between humans and nature".
Blessed with enchanting natural scenery and an enduring cultural legacy immortalized by a multitude of poems, calligraphy masterpieces, paintings and sculptures, West Lake’s boundless charm is not only a visual spectacle, but also an experience felt by the heart.
Traditionally, there are ten best-known scenic spots on the West Lake, each remembered by a four-character epithet and marked by a stele with an epithet written in the calligraphy of the Qianlong Emperor. They are:

Originally constructed in 975 AD during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Leifeng Pagoda is an octagonal five-storied wood-and-brick pagoda located on Sunset Hill south of West Lake. It is the landmark of Hangzhou which is of great historical and cultural importance, and noted as one of Ten Scenes of West Lake, as well as has a deep connection with popular legends.
Lingyin Temple is the most celebrated place of interest around West Lake and one of the top ten Buddhist temples of China. In 1961 it was listed for protection as a key provincial historical and cultural site and considered a leading center for research relative to Chinese Buddhist culture. Situated at the west end of the West Lake, the temple is confronted with the well-known Peak Flying from Afar (famous for its grotto carvings) and backed by Northern Peak.
Inquiring about Tea at Dragon Well(Hangzhou)

The Song Dynasty Town is the largest theme park dedicated to the Song Dynasty in China. It is currently one of the top ten most beautiful scenic spots in the Zheijiang Province. By strictly following the construction methods of the Song Dynasty, Song Dynasty Town is arranged in an original Song style based on the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival by the noted Song artist Zhang Zeduan. One of the highlights is the must-see show called Romance of Song Dynasty.
China National Silk Museum (Hangzhou)
The museum has renovated its permanent displays, which are “The Story of Chinese Silk” and “Sericulture and Silk Craftsmanship in China”, and open “Textile Conservation Gallery” and “Xinyou Archive Center”. As the largest center for textile collection, exhibition, conservation, research and education in China, CNSM is now the showcase of Chinese silk history and culture.
China National Tea Museum(Hangzhou)
China National Tea Museum is the only national museum specialized in tea and tea culture in China, located in the production place of Longjing tea. It is a modern museum including Hall of Tea History, Tea Kaleidoscope Hall, Hall of Tea Properties, Tea Sets Hall, Tea-friendship Hall and Tea Customs Hall. Tea culture has been shown here from different perspectives and has left a good impression on tourists.
Xixi Wetland National Park(Hangzhou)
The park is located in the western part of Hangzhou City, the only wetland in the country that incorporates urban wetland and rural wetland, a best destination for leisure travel, people can relax themselves from the pastoral scenery and beautiful landscape.
Wu Town Xizha（in Tongxiang，another city in Zhejiang Province, about 85km from Hangzhou）
